Frequently Asked Questions

What does a coaching session look like?

In coaching, you set the goals and the direction and then we leverage your strengths to create unique strategies to address your challenges. The basic structure of a session would include time to check in on previous goals, discussion of a current challenge and then you will create your own unique strategies and action plan to set yourself up for a successful week.

How do you coach children?

Coaching children is really very similar to coaching adults, however, we sometimes collaborate with parents and families when creating the goals to work on. Also, the language of children is fun – so coaching with kids involves more games, activities, books and videos to engage them in the learning and skill building that they need.

Do I have to have an official diagnosis to come for coaching?

Absolutely not! While I have specific training to coach those with ADHD, I can coach anyone who is feeling stuck in some areas and would like some help creating their success! Sometimes we all hit a bump in the road and just need someone to walk with us while we figure it all out!

How long will I need to be in coaching before I see results?

There is no set formula. Remember that lasting change is a process and takes time. For individual coaching, I recommend that most people think in terms of at least a 6 month commitment to their coaching journey and be willing to see where it goes. If you are joining a group it will depend on whether it is based around a theme with a start and stop date or if it’s an ongoing group for coaching and support.
