About Me
Let my experience and passion make a difference for you!
Hi, I’m Tammy. This is my story!
ADHD Coach
I have 6 incredible children and a wonderful husband, and they all have ADHD, but they were not diagnosed until about 3 years ago. That was a game-changer for us. Without understanding anything about ADHD or how it affected my family, my expectations of them were unrealistic and unhealthy and was causing all kinds of frustration, pain, and conflict. It also had a significant impact on my self esteem as I assumed that many of the struggles my children were having was a result of my failure as a parent in some area and the mom guilt was crippling. I also struggled to understand my husband which caused many misunderstandings and confusion between us over the years.
Longing to find solutions, I began my training as an ADHD coach with the sole intention of becoming better equipped as a wife and mother to support and guide my growing family. What I have learned as a coach has completely changed our household and family dynamic!
Understanding ADHD has allowed me to become a more compassionate, encouraging, and empowering spouse and parent. It has equipped me to be a more effective advocate for my children in the school and community. Most importantly, it has transformed our house from one of constant stress and struggle to a home filled with support and strategies for success. Are we now a perfect family? Far from it. However, we are a family who now has the knowledge and understanding we need to create a more peaceful home where our strengths are leveraged and our love for one another leads the way.
After witnessing how powerful coaching can be in transforming a home – our home – my vision has grown beyond our own four walls. I have a new mission – to help as many other individuals and families as I can to find the same hope, help and healing that we did.
Are you looking for hope?
